Edition: July 2025
Now in its ninth year, Horsham District Council’s LEAP Grant Scheme remains a vital support mechanism for small local businesses, fostering local economic growth and sustainability.
We added Green LEAP grants to the LEAP scheme in 2024. These provide funding of up to £5,000 towards climate- friendly projects, to enable businesses to unlock business benefits through acting sustainably.
From introducing glass return and refill programmes to installing solar panels, swapping to LED lighting and switching to electric vehicles, Green LEAP has so far helped fund 23 projects in addition to its ongoing support for other projects.
Upgrades reduce energy usage
TC Branding, a Horsham- based promotional merchandise company, received a Green LEAP grant to help them implement several measures to become more sustainable and reduce their operational costs. They said:
"As a small local business, we are incredibly grateful for the support and funding provided by Horsham District Council. The grant we have received has been instrumental in covering the costs of new lighting, a boiler and hand dryers within our buildings."
These upgrades contribute directly to our efforts in reducing our carbon footprint, and lower energy use means reduced operational costs, benefiting both our business and the environment.

"This investment also supports our ongoing Planet Mark certification and strengthens our commitment to sustainability.”
LEAP is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Could LEAP support your business?
