Wardens deliver a day of inclusivity at the Steyning Festival

Edition: July 2026

For the second year, our Steyning, Bramber and Upper Beeding Wardens delivered an unforgettable day of inclusive activities as part of the ten‑day 2026 Steyning Festival.

Hosted at Fletchers Croft, Alison and John coordinated a wide range of activities designed to bring the community together. They were also on hand to spread the word about the Neighbourhood Wardens schemes and the variety of support and events they run throughout the year.

Their work helps tackle isolation, encourages community cohesion, and addresses local issues before they develop. Our Wardens brought together stands from many of the partners they regularly work alongside.

Tons of Sound offered interactive music experiences suitable for all ages. Using professional DJ equipment, participants were able to try their hand at switching, mixing, and music creation.

Horsham Sports Services ran archery taster sessions.  Fitness instructors from Steyning Leisure Centre provided fun challenges with prizes to be won.

West Sussex County Council Early Help Service brought an array of craft and play activities for families.

Fire and rescue team

We were also joined by First Responders, West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, and Sussex Police.

And of course, Boogie Bouncers bouncy castles added to the fun for everyone
