Edition: November 2025
We know that many households are feeling the pinch from rising energy bills.
Whether you own your home or rent it, knowing where to start with energy improvements can be overwhelming. That’s why we’re excited to launch a brand new, free resource for residents: Our Energy Saving Plan Builder.
The easy-to-use online tool helps you create a personalised plan to make your home more energy efficient, comfortable, healthier and cheaper to run both now and for the future. We’re doing this in collaboration with Chichester District Council - and Crawley Borough Council’s Plan Builder is also in the pipeline.
Why it matters
Small changes can add up to big savings. From draught-proofing to insulation, switching to more efficient lighting or adding smart controls, many energy-saving steps are simple and affordable.
For those considering bigger projects like new heating systems or solar panels it can be hard to know what’s right for your home, and when.
The Energy Saving Plan Builder takes the guesswork out. Just confirm your address and answer a few quick questions, and you’ll get a tailored plan based on your priorities, budget, and goals.
Benefits for residents and landlords
For homeowners, landlords and tenants, the tool offers simple practical advice you can trust. It helps you:
- understand what improvements could save you money
- see which changes will have the biggest impact
- plan ahead, whether your budget is £50, £5,000 or more.
For landlords, it’s also a great way to stay ahead of energy efficiency standards, improve the quality of your properties, and keep tenants warm, healthy and happy.
And while some measures like insulation or heat pumps can involve bigger investment, many residents find they can get started with low-cost changes that pay off quickly. Your plan will help you spot those quick wins and prepare for longer-term upgrades. It is the perfect first step before seeking further advice.
