Edition: November 2026
If you are finding it difficult to cover essential costs, additional advice and support is available.
The UK Government has started the Crisis and Resilience Fund, which will run until 31 March 2029.
The Government designed the fund to help people:
- plan ahead to avoid a possible crisis,
- find joined-up support in their local community,
- manage a crisis if they are on a low income.
Supporting residents
Horsham District Council has secured funding through the Crisis and Resilience Fund to support residents who are struggling to pay for essential costs.
Funding will be used to work with Citizens Advice Horsham to continue providing an outreach service for residents in financial difficulty. The service can help people check they are receiving all the benefits and support they are entitled to, and access advice on managing rising household costs.
Help with essential items
Some discretionary funding will also be set aside for residents who are moving into temporary accommodation and require emergency funds for essential household items.
