Edition: July 2025
This Spring we ran a public consultation for the residents of Highwood and its surrounding areas on the provision of new community facilities.
We ran a public consultation for the residents of Highwood, Horsham and surrounding areas in March and April this year on the provision of new community facilities.
As a result of the consultation feedback, we will now work to develop design concepts for a small community hall, changing rooms and toilets and a small car park.
Respondents to the survey expressed a range of ideas that they would like to see the new community hall used for, which included fitness and wellbeing classes, craft workshops and social events. They would also like to see the football pitches and multi-use games areas opened up with a dedicated area for parking.
We are grateful to everyone who took the time and consideration to respond to the survey. The next steps will involve developing more detailed designs and consultation for planning.
We share detail of our consultations on our website at www.horsham. gov.uk/consultations and via our Latest News emails.
