Edition: July 2025
We know that being active is vital for maintaining physical health, improving mental wellbeing and enhancing overall quality of life, but lots of people struggle to find the motivation or lack confidence to get started.
Take your first steps towards becoming active
At Horsham Wellbeing we recognise the importance of creating a welcoming and non-judgemental environment which is why we offer classes exclusively for those starting out or returning to regular activity. All our instructors are very experienced and know how to make it fun and build confidence.
Get Active near you
Adults can choose from a range of different Get Active courses including Pilates, Legs, Bums & Tums, 65+ Back to Exercise and Learn to Run, as well as new additions including Aquafit, Strength & Tone and Swim4Health. Our courses take place in venues across the District.
Sarah, who recently joined the Aquafit course at Billingshurst Leisure Centre, shared her experience:
“I attended an appointment with Horsham Wellbeing a few months ago and have since lost two and a half stone. I saw an advert about a beginner course in Aquafit and decided to give it a try! I almost didn't go – I am so glad I did! The instructor was fun and very relaxed, reassuring us that by the end of the 10 weeks we would be pros!"
“A few of us chatted after the class and said how much we enjoyed it. I left with voices saying – ‘see you next week!"
"I'm looking forward to next time and I’m proud I didn't let fear get in the way of my newfound passion – Aquafit!”
