Mapping climate action across Horsham District

Edition: March 2026

We’re committed to taking practical steps to tackle climate change and to work with local partners and communities.

Our Climate Action Strategy sets out how we can build a more climate-resilient district together, through policies, projects, and actions that make a real difference.

Climate action relies on collaboration. That’s why we want to make it easy for everyone to see what’s happening, get inspired, and even get involved.

How to see local action

You can read our updated plans online. Having worked with partners, businesses, community groups and neighbouring councils over the past year, we have updated our Strategy with our progress.

You can explore our refreshed webpages or see how actions are being implemented on our interactive ‘One Planet’ tool. You can discover:

  • What’s happening now: see the actions we’re taking and the progress we’ve made on them.
  • Future plans: discover projects and initiatives that will shape a sustainable future.
  • Real stories and case studies: learn how others are already making a difference.
  • Connections: see how our actions link to wider county strategies and national goals, as well as to the more local climate action

Why it matters

Climate change impacts all of us, our homes, our health, and our local environment. Small actions add up to big changes, for our planet as well as helping us manage rising costs. Alongside our Strategy, you can find plans of organisations and groups near you to explore what’s happening on a district-wide or more local scale.

Connect with our climate action community network
