Edition: November 2024
In the flurry of school nativities and carol concerts it is so important to stop and appreciate all the little things that add a touch of magic to the season.
It is a time when I feel very grateful to live in our beautiful District with its lovely markets and award- winning parks and countryside.
In this magazine I’m delighted to share a selection of free events and things to do, as well as highlight extra support that you may be eligible for. I know that there will be many of you working or volunteering over the festive period, taking care of our community, and supporting others who might not find this time of year easy.
Look out for details of our volunteer awards winners, where we celebrate just some of our residents who make a huge positive difference.
Don’t miss details on our Community Climate Fund grant scheme, training opportunities for small businesses and details on employment support hubs.
If you still have presents to buy, please consider supporting our local retailers. I look forward to spotting the creative businesses on our high streets working hard to impress with their Magic Displays this Christmas.
