Edition: November 2025
Sometimes the simplest things, like going for a walk, can have the biggest impact.
Move more, feel better
Walking is one of the easiest ways to stay active. You don’t need a gym membership, just a comfy pair of shoes and a bit of motivation. Regular walking can help keep your heart healthy, boost energy, strengthen muscles and joints, improve your balance, improve your mood, and help you sleep better.
Join in and feel connected
Whether you’re chatting with someone new or catching up with familiar faces, walking together creates a relaxed space for conversation and connection.
Geoff shared his experience:
I started out as a participant, then began helping with back-marking walks, which eventually led to becoming a trained Walk Leader. Like many others, the biggest benefit, apart from the exercise, has been the chance to form wonderful new friendships with like-minded people who enjoy walking in a safe and welcoming environment, especially in our lovely countryside.
