The Capitol Refurb

Edition: November 2025

The curtain comes down at The Capitol – but only for a while.

The Capitol Horsham

The Capitol will temporarily close its doors from January to November 2026 to undergo a £10.2m refurbishment designed to improve both the customer experience and the venue’s overall look and feel.

The plans, shaped by public survey feedback, will include:

  • A refreshed bar area and box office
  • Brand-new toilets, including a fully accessible Changing Places facility
  • New seating in both the auditorium and cinema screens with improved accessible provision
  • A modern heating and cooling system
  • Essential roof repairs across the building

This investment will protect The Capitol’s heritage while ensuring it remains a welcoming, accessible and sustainable venue for years to come.

The good news is we’ll be reopening in time for Panto 2026. In the meantime, don’t miss out on this year’s spectacular Robin Hood, starring West End favourites Gina Murray, Mark Irwin, and Georgia Bradshaw – the perfect grand finale before the curtain comes down
