Essential roof repairs to the Jubilee Fields Pavilion, the first project completed through the programme, are already protecting the building for local sports clubs and community activities.
Residents also shared their views on plans for local open spaces and recreation facilities in the autumn, with feedback helping to shape the final designs.
Small grants making a big difference
Local groups are also benefiting from the Better Billingshurst Community Grant.
Funding has helped Billingshurst Bowling Club improve its green, while Billingshurst Community Partnership welcomed hundreds of visitors to its second Open Gardens Day.
At Billingshurst Primary Academy, new play equipment and a gardening project are giving pupils more opportunities
to play, learn and grow outdoors.
Students at The Weald School have also received support to design, build and race electric cars through the Greenpower Racing programme.
Billingshurst Women’s Hall has repaired play equipment and added seating in the Mothers Garden.
Horsham Matters has received support for its food bank services, helping residents facing hardship access food, essential items and advice.
Together, these projects will create better places to meet, play and stay active, helping Billingshurst thrive for years to come.
