Our new pendant alarm: keeping you safe wherever you are

Edition: November 2026

Our Community Link devices are designed to give peace of mind, helping people live safely and independently at home and while out and about.

Pendant alarm

We are pleased to introduce our new pendant alarm. It offers support at the touch of a button wherever you are.

The new 4G pendant alarm

The 4G device is a wearable emergency button. With a multi-network SIM, the device connects to the strongest available mobile or Wi-Fi signal. It sends secure location updates every five minutes. If you press the alarm button, you will be connected to our 24-hour response centre. Our trained operators can speak with you, see your location and, if needed, dispatch lifesaving support and alert your nominated emergency contacts.

All the features

As well as the SOS button, the pendant alarm benefits from:

  • An enhanced speaker for clear sound quality.
  • A long-lasting battery. The device operates for more than 24 hours and can send alerts when the battery needs charging.
  • Simple charging via a base station, with no fiddly connections.

Additional features

  • An optional fall detector.
  • The device can be set to alert carers if the wearer enters or leaves designated areas. This can be especially reassuring for people living with dementia who may find navigating unfamiliar places challenging.
  • The pendant offers real-time location tracking, enabling approved users to log in and check the wearer’s whereabouts at any time.

Is this right for you?

This device is designed to offer peace of mind and prompt support for people who spend time alone at home, at work or while out and about. It is ideal for older people living independently, workers in remote or isolated locations, people with medical conditions who may require urgent assistance, and outdoor enthusiasts seeking additional reassurance.

Philip, Community Link Partnership and Projects Officer, told us how they can help:

These wearable GPS devices are fantastic. Time and again, they have proved invaluable, often making a real difference in emergency situations.

He added:

"Just as importantly, they give people the freedom to live independently, safe in the knowledge that help is available if needed. This plays a crucial role in reducing isolation and allows families and carers to support their loved ones while preserving their independence and quality of life.”
