The communty gathered in Horsham's Carfax on 8 May to mark the Victory in Europe Day 80th anniversary in Horsham.

We marked the Victory in Europe Day 80th anniversary in Horsham town centre in partnership with the Horsham Branch of the Royal British Legion on Thursday 8 May. Events included a Ringing out for Peace at St Mary’s Church, and a musical performance from the Sussex Band of The Royal British Legion.

The event also incuded support from local businesses and market operators who joined us to offer food and drink into the evening.
We marked the close of the event with a ceremony and beacon lighting.
We also offered grants to community groups, neighbourhood councils and parish councils to help them celebrate on the May bank holiday weekend.
