Our Museum is the perfect place to spend time during the colder months, with our shop and gallery providing a fantastic selection of unique gifts from local makers and artists.


Christmas at Horsham Museum
The Museum will be decorated for the festive season from Tuesday 19 November including a Christmas themed family trail for visitors.
Our Museum Lates will return with a special Christmas event on Friday 20 December, where we will remain open until 8pm with live music and refreshments from 6pm.

Cretaceous Horsham: Discovering Dinosaura
On 18 January, our 2025 exhibition will open and uncover the story of how dinosaurs came to be discovered, following the story of Sussex physician Gideon Mantell.
Mantell found a fossilised Iguanodon tooth in 1825 and made the realisation that it belonged to a giant animal, sparking a debate on the subject which would contribute to his life descending into tragedy. As well as exploring the events which led to the classification of dinosaurs, the exhibition will also focus on the dinosaurs that would have been found in the District during the early cretaceous period (145 to 100.5 million
