In response to the serious impact of the pandemic on youth employment, the Council has successfully applied for funding from the Department for Work and Pensions to set up Y-WISH for Horsham. There will also be outreach activities in rural communities.

The Y-WISH employment programme is a new physical hub where young people (18-24 years) can make an appointment or drop-in for advice, guidance and employability skills training. There will also be a skills and job matching service available to match employers with candidates for their roles.

If you are a young person needing support or an employer wishing to support the Council’s employment projects please contact Leigh Chambers on 01403 215264 or email leigh.chambers@ horsham.gov.uk.
