If you follow us on social media, you will have seen our ‘Did You Know?’ posts.
These try to let as many people as possible know about initiatives available within the District that help people deal with a wide range of challenges.
As part of this, we have made some changes to our cost of living webpages to help increase self-help opportunities and make it easier for residents to find out about the variety of support and information services available.
New eye-catching icons head each section, picking out the main issues that the rising cost of living has made harder. A click on each will take you through to links where you can find relevant help, making it easier to access the information you need.

A network of support
While a number of these services are offered by the Council, many are also provided by voluntary organisations who do invaluable work to support residents every day.
Our Find a Community Service Directory contains a much wider listing of useful, local organisations and links to further information about what they offer. The Directory has a simple search tool that enables you to narrow down that listing of what is available by your location or topic, so that you don’t have to scroll through the full listing – although you can do that too if you prefer.

We are always keen to develop this list further, so if you know of a group that you think should be included, or would like your group to be added to the Directory, please let us know.
