New play zone opens in Roffey

We are pleased to announce that our new youth activity area at Roffey Recreation Ground, off Leith View Road in Horsham opened in May. Following a project in 2018 to transform the younger children’s play area with a Medieval theme, we have now created an area primarily for teens and young people.

We are the first council in the country to install a ‘Numuga’, an innovative collection of equipment which offers users the chance to play football, rugby, cricket, basketball, netball, hockey and tennis in one compact area.

We are delighted to have seen so many people already enjoying the new equipment.

The new area also includes a ‘chill zone’ with hammocks, and an outdoor gym, which is perfect for anyone looking to exercise outside of a formal gym setting.

The inclusion of a variety of seating and new planting makes this a welcoming space for everyone.

Later in the season, block colour will be added to the tarmac which will zone the playing areas and give an even brighter feel to the new space.
