Edition: July 2026
We’re delighted to share that a brand‑new Tern Raft has been launched at the Reserve, providing a larger and improved nesting area for Common Terns.
The raft was supplied and installed by Green Future Building, with fantastic support from our Countryside Wardens. A huge thank you to the Friends of Warnham Local Nature Reserve, whose generous funding made this conservation project possible. We’re excited to see how our Common Terns make use of their new home this season.
Improvements to play areas
As part of our continuous programme of upgrades to play areas across the District, we have been progressing improvements at Parbrook Play Area in Billingshurst (between Berrall Way and Stane Street).
New play equipment includes a thick rope Snake Swing which allows for group play, a zip wire for speedy rides, sheltered seating and a refresh of the gates and safety surfacing. We expect the park to be ready for play in the autumn.
