Edition: November 2026
I’m pleased to share this winter edition of Our District, celebrating our services and the vibrant communities at the heart of Horsham District.
There is plenty to enjoy across our market towns, villages and green spaces, with many opportunities to come together over Christmas and throughout the festive season.
Inside, you’ll find details of winter events across the District and the reopening of The Capitol with a spectacular line-up of performances following its major refurbishment. We also share updates on improvements to our parks and play areas, and the valuable work of our Community Wardens.
You can find practical information to help you over the festive period, from changes to waste and recycling collections to managing your Council Tax online. We also highlight community support, wellbeing initiatives and opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in your local community.
At the time of going to print, we had not received the Government’s decision on the future structure of local councils in West Sussex. However, I want to reassure residents, businesses, visitors and our vital voluntary sector organisations that it remains business as usual at the Council, with our services, projects and local support continuing as normal. You can find the latest information at: www.shapingwestsussex.org.I hope you enjoy this edition.
Look out for winter events and activities across the District, and this year’s winter schedule, including our popular pantomime.
I wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas and a peaceful festive season.
Councillor Martin Boffey
Leader of the Council
