Edition: Winter 2020/2021
Construction of our new ‘Discovery Hub’ at Warnham Local Nature Reserve (WLNR), which is jointly funded by the Council, Friends of WLNR and one of the last EU grants, has been continuing at pace and is now nearing completion.

The ‘Discovery Hub’ will boast a unique octagonal design created from wood. Large panoramic windows will offer breathtaking views across the millpond. The space will be used for both educational and leisure purposes and will tell the story of the industrial, natural and social heritage of this important nature and conservation reserve.
A new entrance garden that will take inspiration from the works of noted local poet Percy Bysshe Shelley is also under development, making a welcome addition to the new Discovery Trail which follows the paths and boardwalks surrounding the millpond.
